An impressive hand-knotted Persian rug from Sabzevar, centred on an elaborate floral medallion in warm terracotta and deep navy. The rich red field is filled with sweeping arabesques, palmettes and flowering vines, with dark spandrels creating a dramatic transition into the borders. A broad navy border of large floral cartouches frames the composition, complemented by finely detailed guard borders.
