Description
A substantial handwoven Afghan Kilim Barjesta featuring four bold stepped medallions arranged around a central vertical axis. Deep red and indigo forms interlock across a warm cream field, accented by small floral clusters that soften the strong geometric composition. The central design is surrounded by several distinctive borders, including interlocking diamonds, angular ram’s-horn forms and finely patterned bands. Raised wool motifs add rich texture to the flatwoven foundation, while striped ends provide a traditional finish.
