Description
A vibrant handwoven Afghan Kilim Barjesta with a tightly arranged field of small raised rosettes. Alternating red, brown and dark blue motifs create a rhythmic pattern across the warm golden ground, giving the rug a lively yet balanced appearance. The floral centre is framed by numerous narrow geometric borders, including angular vines, stepped forms and interlocking tribal motifs. Its combination of detailed patterning and textured raised pile makes this an especially decorative example of traditional Barjesta weaving.
