Description
A characterful Afghan Kilim Barjesta built around three large, totem-like botanical medallions arranged vertically across a warm camel-coloured field. Angular petals, branching forms and small scattered symbols give the composition a lively, distinctly tribal quality. Deep burgundy and navy raised-pile outlines stand prominently against the flatter woven ground, clearly displaying the textured Barjesta technique. A sequence of hooked and floral borders surrounds the central design, while broad patterned bands and striped end panels give the rug a strong architectural frame.
