Description
A characterful handwoven Afghan Kilim Barjesta featuring a dense field of alternating boteh motifs, an ancient design often associated with leaves, flames or cypress forms. The orderly repetition creates a strong sense of movement, while varied internal markings give each motif an individual handmade quality. The central field is enclosed by several finely patterned geometric borders and finished with muted striped end panels. Raised wool details contrast beautifully with the flatwoven ground, adding texture and definition without overwhelming the balanced composition.
