Rug Size Guide
Because every ASA Rugs piece is a one-off vintage find, exact dimensions are always shown on the product page. Use this guide to see roughly what each size category looks like in a room before you dive into the details.
Small
up to 150 cm
Accent pieces: bedside runners, small entryways, layering under a coffee table.
Medium
151 – 230 cm
A queen bed, a dining nook, or a compact living room seating area.
Large
231 – 400 cm
A king bed, or a full living room suite: sofa, chairs and coffee table sitting on the rug.
Extra Large
over 400 cm
Open-plan living and dining areas, or double as a long hallway passage rug.
Runners
approx. 70–90 cm wide
Made for hallways, staircases and passageways. Length varies piece by piece.
Kilim & one-of-a-kind
unique dimensions
Flatweave kilims are traded as single, unrepeatable pieces. Always check the exact cm on the product page.
How to measure your space
Leave 20–30 cm of bare floor between the rug edge and your walls. For a seating area, aim for the front legs of sofas and chairs to rest on the rug. For a bed, the rug should extend at least 45–60 cm beyond each side.
